How to Order

• Searching
  You let us know the town, village, district, road, street or premises you are interested in.
  We will search our archives (more than 150 albums) and look for potentially suitable pictures.
• Finding Nothing
  If we find no suitable cards we will send you a postcard, email or telephone you to let you know.
  If nothing is found, however, we will search one further album of your choice for no extra cost.
• Finding something
  If we do find suitable cards, we will send you same-size photocopies (on a standard office-type B/W photocopier) of potentially suitable pictures. Up to 5 pages of A4 (possible maximum of 20 cards) will be photocopied and returned for your perusal. If there are more available we will let you know (if there are only a few more we will include them F.O.C.).
  If none of these are suitable for you, the search ends there, or you may of course resubmit further requests for other areas.
• Ordering Prints
  If there are suitable pictures, and you would like to order a print or scanned copy, just return the relevant sheet with the one(s) you want clearly marked, and accompanied by your cheque. We will do the rest and have a high quality 'Nostalgic Print' back to you within 7-10 days. It couldn't be easier. NB: We routinely put 'Copyright' stickers on the reverse of our prints, therefore please let us know if you intend having your prints dry mounted and we will supply loose stickers to be applied after this process is completed.
• Our Charges
  Because this is a time consuming exercise, we have to make a small charge, currently £5 per album or area searched. However, this includes same-size office photocopies of up to 20 suitable cards which will be returned for your perusal and if you decide to order within a one month period, the £5 charge will be deducted from any orders received in excess of £25. A redemption certificate will be provided for this purpose.
• Print Prices

• Delivery Charges
  We appreciate that these are always an irritation, therefore prints collected from our Sheffield office incur no extra charges. We use the Post Office for small, flat packets and charge £4.95 up to 1kg 'Special Delivery'. Heavier or large orders will be despatched via couriers, currently we are charged £12 for these and regrettably we have to pass this charge on.
• Ordering A Search
  To order a search, please send a cheque for the correct amount, made payable to Sheffield Postcard Company and post it to 2 Roman Ridge Rd, Sheffield, S9 1XG.  Please remember to include you name, address and a contact telephone no. in case we encounter any problems.
